Welcome back to the South Hill Gena and Sergio and crew! You were missed greatly. Your lunch & dinner food and flavors and quality are amazing as ever. The best in town again. Fantastic chips and salsa, drink selection, carne asada, Nachos, tacos, Fajitas, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, just a few of my favorites and an expanded kid’s menu! Cant wait to try the new breakfast menu with Mexican style hot chocolate! Welcome back and many thanks for returning to the South Hill.

We stopped in for lunch on 11/12/25 and I was VERY IMPRESSED with every part of Gena’s! Gena greeted us right away. The whole place is clean and nice. The bathroom was spotless. We sat ourselves, and had fresh salsa, chips & beans at the table immediately. Without asking, we were given drink refills and fresh beans. When the food came, it was cooked to perfection, on hot plates I can’t wait to stop in again. Keep up the great work Gena’s Kitchen teamOh, they also serve breakfast

Cheerful place w friendly service and delicious food. Had a stew that I’d never heard of before and loved it. Friend asked for vegetarian options and server was able to suggest lots of choices that weren’t on the menu. He was really happy w his dish too. Had coffee after dinner and the coffee was also delicious. Definitely gonna be back

Very excited to have had the opportunity to try this new Spokane restaurant today. Food, service, atmosphere, and prices were great. We tried a bit of everything - crispy beef taco, chicken enchiladas, street tacos (asada and chicken) and, of course, chips and salsa. It was all delicious; we'll be back.

So good to see Gena again! Food was excellent. Seating was spacious and comfortable. Atmosphere was upbeat and fun. We went with kids and the kids loved it too. We’ll be going again for sure! If you’re in the mood for Mexican, Gena’s is the place to go!

We totally love Gena and her new restaurant! We’ve been going to her old location for every anniversary and birthday for years and now we will be coming to her new location because she is family and we can’t celebrate without her!! So glad she has a new location that we can enjoy and see her smile and excellent customer service and amazing food! Very authentic! You can tell it is made with love and skill. Thank you Gena and staff for always making us feel welcome and making amazing meals!

As an Austin, TX transplant, I'm a Mexican food snob. Gena's was so legit and delicious. Hardy portions, friendly service, warm and vibrant atmosphere. We will definitely be back! We even got to meet Gena, the owner, she was very cool and out mingling with the guests...checking in. Love that type of relaxed hospitality. Ps-they are an excellent option for private parties.
